The cast of the film was really great including Lynn Whitfield, Blair Underwood, Maya Angelou and Cicely Tyson (it's hard to believe that she is actually getting older but she hasn't missed a beat with her acting talent). Tyler Perry does an excellent job again in presenting some of the challenges of family life (this time between an engaged couple that involves domestic abuse and the dysfunction between a mother and her two daughters) and brings the plot twists to a conclusion without being too preachy.
I would give it three and half stars out of five.
